One-on-one Sparring

“If you are in the market for a sparring partner who will pat you on the back and tell you what you like to hear, then I am afraid that I can’t help you” – Soulaima Gourani

“Don’t be defined by what you didn’t know or didn’t do. You’re deciding your life right now.”

Good sparring is about getting qualified input, new inspiration, and specific tools. A sparring process can have a long or short duration—it is about enabling you to perform at your best as a leader no matter what challenges you are facing.

A good sparring partner is necessary for you to develop optimally. You need someone who can surprise you with unexpected and different views on your situation, someone who can make you leave habitual thinking and daily operations behind to turn your focus toward the more important long-term strategic goals—for you as a leader and for the company as a whole.

“In the process, we will take a closer look at your self-image and deal with bad habits, and I will ask all the annoying, relevant, provocative, and politically incorrect questions that you have gotten used to not asking yourself anymore. You don’t pay me to get a pat on the back, and therefore, you will get a down-to-earth, crystal clear, and sometimes quite harsh description of how to move the company to the desired future situation, which likely will require a bit of digestion and legwork in the organization.”

“I take off the kid gloves when I am sparring with a business leader to quickly move beyond your reflex-based objections and get into the heart of the problems—where you really can move yourself and the company to a higher level. In this process, I am your coach, mentor, provocateur, anarchist, and initiator. Afterwards, you will feel inspired and energetic. You will have gained new knowledge, new angles, and a contagious energy that you can transform into concrete changes and measurable results!”
